Hyundai has patented the Palibrus trademark in Russia


The South Korean company Hyundai has patented the Palibrus trademark in Russia. The patent application was published in the open database of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS), Izvestia noted on June 25. There is no car with that name in the brand's global lineup.
The trademark holder is Hyundai Motor Company from Seoul, Korea. It is registered according to the 12th class of the International Classification of Goods and Services (ICTS), which includes cars, sports utility vehicles, crossovers, SUVs, four-wheel drive vehicles and all-terrain vehicles.
The date of state registration is indicated on June 19, 2025, the date of validity of the right is August 30, 2034. The application was submitted on August 30, 2024.
It is noteworthy that the media reported on the registration of the Palibrus name along with Palisus and Palihans by Hyundai back in 2020, and the certificate issued for them should be valid until 2030.
On May 20, it was reported that Kia had registered a trademark with the brand's logo in Russia.
