Sales of the UAZ car decreased by 33%

In the first five months of this year, 8,406 new UAZ vehicles were sold in Russia. This is 33% less than in January—May 2024. This was reported on June 25 by the analytical agency Autostat.

By the end of May this year, 1,409 new UAZ vehicles were sold in Russia, which is 40% less than in the same month last year.

The Ulyanovsk brand's bestseller at the end of spring was the family of commercial vehicles SGR "Loaf", whose result was 579 units, and the share of the total number was 41%. The UAZ Patriot SUV was chosen by 410 buyers.

Next are the light truck "Pro" (235 units) and "Pickup" (156 units), completing the top five SUV "Hunter" (29 units).

Earlier, on June 20, it was reported that at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), Sollers presented a pre-production version of the Sollers ST9 pickup truck. The start of production of the ST9 is scheduled for the third quarter of this year at the UAZ industrial site in the Ulyanovsk region.

On May 13, the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant announced that it had begun implementing large-scale projects to modernize the site and equipment, including the installation of a new section for applying polyurea. This material is designed to protect the cargo compartments of cars from internal influences during transportation.
