In Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, an 80-year-old woman registered 32 foreigners, and was therefore detained by law enforcement agencies in the region. This was reported on June 25 by the police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (UMVD) of Russia in the city of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
"The defendant, who owns a private house in the suburbs of the regional center, fictitiously registered 32 foreign citizens in violation of current legislation, indicating her home as their place of permanent residence," the police press service said in its Telegram channel.
It is clarified that a criminal case was initiated against the defendant on the grounds of a crime under Article 322.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fictitious registration of foreign citizens or stateless persons at their place of residence in the Russian Federation"). She faces a fine of 100,000 to 500,000 rubles or imprisonment for up to five years.
Earlier, on June 24, in Kamchatka, a woman illegally registered more than 100 foreigners. Currently, the defendant has been given a preventive measure in the form of a subscription not to leave and proper behavior.
