The directors of the Scarlet Sails holiday show told about the rehearsals

The Scarlet Sails Alumni Celebration will begin on Saturday, June 28, in the evening. Preparations for the concert are underway on the Palace Square, the artists are rehearsing their numbers.

One of the most unusual innovations of the concert on Dvortsovaya is related to the number, which will use real water. The actors of the water theater will be in it.

"The actors of the water theater are already rehearsing in the pools. Very soon, a huge amount of water will be brought to the Palace Square for them," Vladislav Kabanov, the director of the concert part of the festival, told Izvestia.

Rehearsals follow the same pattern: first, the artists train in casual clothes, going through each dance element over and over again with the choreographer, and then they change into the costumes they will be wearing at the time of the broadcast — and the "finishing" work begins.

"It's really a lot of work. We're shooting some rehearsals, editing them, and seeing what the effect is. What went wrong, where to fix or move something, how to work with the artist... The result is achieved only in this way," explained Mikhail Kolpakhchiev, chief director of the water and pyrotechnic show of the Scarlet Sails festival.
