In Irkutsk, police officers detained two suspects of serious crimes who were on the federal wanted list. This was announced on Wednesday, June 25, by the press service of the regional Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

The suspects were wanted in connection with charges of attempted murder committed by a group of people with hooligan motives (Part 3 of Article 30, paragraphs "g", "h" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), and the illegal acquisition, transfer, storage, transportation, transfer or carrying of firearms and ammunition (222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

Initially, the police managed to detain five suspects, but two more managed to escape. Their location was later determined during the investigation.

"As investigators have established, at the end of January 2025, a group of suspects on the basis of personal hostility beat and stabbed a 34-year-old resident of Cheremkhovo. The victim was taken to a medical facility," the department said in a message on its Telegram channel.

Later, in March of this year, the same group of intruders shot a car with three passengers inside with a traumatic pistol.

Two men, aged 33 and 25, were detained with the support of the Russian Guard in a rented apartment in the Sverdlovsk region. They are currently in custody.

On May 23, the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Irina Volk, announced the detention in the Krasnoyarsk Territory of two employees of a gold mining enterprise suspected of stealing a concentrate with a precious metal worth over 434 million rubles.
