Assault groups broke through the fortified area of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with the support of T-72B3M tanks of the Aleysky Motorized Rifle Unit of the Center group of forces. This was announced on June 25 by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

"Military personnel of the assault units of the Aleysky compound of the Center group of forces, with the fire support of T-72B3M tanks, broke through a powerful enemy fortified area in a wooded area in the Red Army direction," the ministry said.

The combined actions of the Russian units ensured the success of the operation. First, the tank crews delivered precise strikes with 125 mm shells, which made it possible to suppress the main enemy firing points. After that, assault groups consisting of combat "twos" began to clear the territory with the help of anti-tank mines and engineering ammunition.

"The stormtroopers threw them into deep dugouts and fortifications of the enemy, completely destroying underground structures with powerful explosions, giving the Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters no chance to resist," the Defense Ministry said.

After breaking through the fortified area, the Russian fighters gained a foothold in new positions and began installing defensive structures and equipping defensive positions in case of enemy counterattacks.

On June 24, a Ka-52M helicopter struck the control center and the launch site of the APU drones. After using the missiles, the crew performed an anti-missile maneuver, released heat traps and returned to the departure area.
