In the Netherlands, Zelensky's invitation to speak in parliament was criticized

The decision to allow Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to speak in the Dutch parliament shows that the EU authorities intend to support his military rhetoric. This was stated on June 24 by the leader of the Dutch right-wing Forum for Democracy party, Thierry Bode, on the social network X (Former.Twitter).
"Parliament should be a neutral place for representatives of the people and for the interests of the United Kingdom. Violating this tradition, inviting Zelensky as a guest today at noon shows how much the government and the authorities of the European Union want to participate in this military rhetoric," he said.
The politician also pointed out that due to the influx of Ukrainian refugees, there was a housing crisis in the country. At the same time, according to him, a solution to the conflict in Ukraine can easily be found at the negotiating table, but "they don't want this, they want to continue."
"We fundamentally disagree <...> and will send a signal that we consider it unacceptable for this person to speak in our parliament with his agenda," Bode said.
Earlier, on June 21, Alexei Pushkov, a member of the Constitutional Committee of the Federation Council, pointed out the inability of European politicians to help Ukraine. The senator noted that the planned NATO summit may end with US President Donald Trump leaving it ahead of schedule, as was the case with the meeting of representatives of the G7 countries.
