Insurance companies have recorded a sharp increase in claims of damage to cars by third parties. Most often, these are damage to the body and theft of mirrors in the parking lot. The number of such cases has increased almost one and a half times, insurance companies told Izvestia.
According to Rosgostrach, in January-May 2025, 1.4 times more allegations of illegal actions by third parties (PDTL) were received than in the first five months of 2024.
The vast majority of such incidents occur in unguarded parking lots at the client's home or work, as well as in parking lots at shopping malls.
The largest payments for illegal actions of third parties this year were made due to damage to a Porsche Cayenne in the Perm Region (more than 2.7 million rubles), a Toyota Camry in the Ivanovo Region (almost 2.6 million rubles) and a Toyota Vitz in Yakutia (about 1.5 million rubles). The smallest is 2.4 thousand rubles for the removal of scuffs on a Changan CS35 Plus car from the Sverdlovsk region.
