Despite the American bombing and several days of attacks by Israel, most of the uranium reserves were moved before the strikes and stored in secret nuclear facilities. This was reported on June 24 by the New York Times (NYT) newspaper, citing sources and a declassified report by the US Department of Defense Intelligence Agency.

"Most of Iran's enriched uranium reserves were moved before the strikes, which destroyed a small portion of the nuclear material. Some of them may have been moved to secret nuclear facilities," the newspaper notes.

Based on the report, US President Donald Trump's statement about the destruction of Iran's nuclear facilities was exaggerated.

NYT sources noted that the five-page classified report is only an initial assessment of the situation. More detailed information will be obtained after analyzing the status of the three nuclear facilities in Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan.

Earlier in the day, CNN reported that the US strikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities had not caused significant damage to the main components of Iran's nuclear program and had only suspended work on it for several months, contrary to the statements of the American government. It is specified that the analysis of the damage caused to Iran's nuclear facilities continues.
