Experts spoke about the role of aviation in the conflict between Iran and Israel

"A country with a modern air force, fifth-generation aviation, is capable of destroying air defenses (air defense systems. — Ed.) of a country that does not have the appropriate competencies, although it has modern or almost modern air defense systems in its arsenal," he said.

The expert recalled that Israel had not lost a single combat vehicle out of hundreds of sorties. At the same time, Iran has an air defense system that is approaching the capabilities of China and Russia.

"Fifth—generation aircraft have played a huge role in the destruction of air defenses and facilities in Iran," Kornev stressed.

The factor of Israel's superiority in the air was also noted by military expert Yuri Lyamin.

"The Air Force is Israel's main strike force. Iran has the opposite. Its Air Force is in decline, in particular, due to sanctions, so Iran had nothing to counter the enemy in the air. For example, the old Mig-29 or F-14 can do little to the Israeli F-35," the expert emphasized.

Israel also has an advantage in receiving information, which it received from satellites and reconnaissance aircraft, its own and American ones. Iran did not have such capabilities, analysts said.
