Corporal Akhmetzhanov restored communication under AFU tank fire
Corporal Damir Akhmetzhanov, as part of an artillery battery, was organizing communications between the command posts of the Russian units when tank fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) damaged the wired communication line with the command post of the senior officer of the battery. The Russian Ministry of Defense on Wednesday, June 25, told about the exploits of Russian servicemen in the area of the special military operation (SVO).
Akhmetdzhanov promptly moved to the site of the damage, despite the ongoing shelling. Having discovered that the cable was damaged so badly that it could not be repaired, the corporal stretched a new cable, restoring communication as soon as possible.
The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the courage and professionalism of the foreman of the second article Vyacheslav Makarov, who flew to the area near the front line with a cargo of diesel fuel for Russian motorized infantry.
On the way, Makarov's car was attacked by an enemy unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), but the foreman successfully maneuvered, avoiding a collision with the drone. He turned on electronic warfare, and as a result, the drone was destroyed. Makarov managed to deliver fuel to the destination on time.
Earlier, on June 24, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Sergeant Konstantin Turovsky commanded a platoon and participated in the storming of the AFU stronghold when enemy mortar and artillery fire blocked the path of the Russian military.
