Orban announced the unwillingness of world leaders to see Zelensky at the NATO summit

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, as well as representatives of Turkey, Slovakia and the United States would not like to see Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the negotiating table at the NATO summit in The Hague. This was stated by the Hungarian leader on June 24 in an interview published on his Facebook page (owned by Meta, a company whose activities are recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).
"The fact that Mr. Zelensky will not participate in any official form at the NATO summit clearly indicates that the previous chapter is over. The Americans, Turks, Slovaks and we have made it clear that we do not want to sit at the same table with Mr. Zelensky when it comes to NATO," Orban said.
The politician said that he would be glad to see Zelensky at the European Union (EU) summit scheduled for June 26-27, but spoke out against Ukraine's accession to these associations.
"Hungary's national interest is not to be in any integration community with Ukraine, neither in NATO nor in the European Union," he said.
Earlier in the day, Orban pointed out the threat of Ukraine's admission to the EU and NATO. According to him, Ukraine should not be accepted into the community, since this decision will lead to a war between Western countries and Russia.
On the eve of Orban announced Hungary's plans at the NATO and EU summits to hinder Ukraine's integration into the alliance and the bloc. Then he noted that this could lead to financial chaos and escalation of the conflict. The Hungarian Prime Minister also stressed that states should avoid any steps towards Ukrainian integration.
