Drivers urged to be careful behind the wheel due to rain and wind in Moscow


Motorists in Moscow should be careful when driving due to rain, thunderstorms and strong winds. This was announced by the press service of the Moscow Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development on Tuesday, June 24.
"Data Center: rain with thunderstorms and wind are expected in Moscow today and tomorrow. Please observe the speed limit and distance. According to weather forecasts, rain and strong winds of up to 15 m/s are expected in Moscow today and tomorrow," the Moscow City News agency quoted the message as saying.
Drivers were advised not to park their cars near trees and rickety structures, avoid sudden maneuvers, and slow down near pedestrian crossings in advance.
Earlier in the day, the Telegram channel of the capital's urban economy complex reported that rain and increased wind gusts of up to 15 m/s were expected in Moscow.
In turn, Alexander Shuvalov, head of the Meteo forecasting center, told RT that in the first days of July, a restructuring of atmospheric processes in the metropolitan region is possible, which will return summer heat to Moscow.
Earlier, on June 23, Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, said that on the night of June 24, the air temperature in the metropolitan region would drop to +5 degrees, and in the afternoon it would rise to +23 degrees, but due to the cold night, the average daily temperature would remain below normal.
