Peskov announced a meeting between Putin and Lukashenko in the coming days


A new personal meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko will take place in the coming days. This was announced on June 24 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
He noted that the Russian president and his Belarusian counterpart are in constant contact with each other.
"There may also be telephone contacts, which we will inform you about. And one of these days they will meet in person," Peskov said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
Earlier, on June 12, Lukashenko congratulated Putin on Russia Day. The President of Belarus noted that Russia firmly defends national interests, acting as the leader of the movement for a new non-discriminatory world order and respect for state independence.
