The Iranian president declared his readiness to solve problems with the United States
Iran is ready to resolve its differences with the United States within the framework of international law. This was stated on June 24 by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian during a telephone conversation with Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud of Saudi Arabia.
"We are ready to resolve issues between Iran and the United States within the international framework and will never demand anything beyond our rights. In this regard, we welcome any assistance from our friendly and fraternal countries," Peseshkian is quoted as saying on the president's website.
He also added that Iran seeks to strengthen unity in the region and considers it as a basis for accelerating and deepening development.
"In addition to trying to create unity among all countries to condemn this aggression [by Israel], we have put a lot of effort into consultations with various countries to put pressure on Israel and stop its attacks," Bin Salman said.
Pointing out that today the United States clearly wants to reduce tensions, as well as put pressure on Israel to observe the ceasefire, the Saudi Prince expressed the hope that negotiations between Iran and the United States will begin as soon as possible.
On June 24, US President Donald Trump announced that the truce between Iran and Israel had entered into force. According to him, a "complete and total ceasefire" will first be announced for 12 hours, then the conflict will be considered over.
Later, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) recorded rocket launches from Iran after the ceasefire was announced. It is specified that a few hours after the missile hit Beersheba, additional launches from Iran were recorded in the northern region. Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz then stated that he had instructed the IDF to strike Tehran in response to the shelling from Iran after the ceasefire was announced.
