Regular consumption of sugary drinks increases the risk of depression by 14%, and consumption of drinks with sugar substitutes — by 23%. Endocrinologist Alexandra Brevnova warned about this on Tuesday, June 24.

"According to the results of this study, natural juices and coffee have shown an association with a lower incidence of anxiety and depressive disorders at any age," the doctor said in a conversation with Lenta.Ru .

The expert warned that sugary drinks can provoke a number of other serious diseases, one of which is type 2 diabetes. Brevnova also reminded that drinks with sugar are high in calories, and their regular consumption can imperceptibly lead to weight gain.

On June 23, Galina Rogozhkina, a gastroenterologist at the Scandinavian Health Center, said that in order to become slimmer in half a month, it is safe to lose 0.5–1 kg per week.

To lose weight, you should exclude sweets, white bread, fast food and fatty foods from the diet. At the same time, it is worth including fruits, vegetables, lean meat, lemon juice or yogurt, and sugar-free tea in the diet, the specialist noted.

Earlier, on June 16, nutritionist Mariyat Mukhina told NSN that stress and anxiety can lead to diabetes, as insulin is also produced during the production of counterinsular hormones, such as adrenaline.
