Buddy Carter, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, has nominated American leader Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize. This was reported on June 24 by the Fox News channel.

"President Trump's influence played an important role in concluding a quick agreement that many considered impossible. President Trump has also taken bold, decisive action to stop Iran's nuclear ambitions," the congressman wrote in a letter to the Nobel Committee.

According to him, Trump's actions "are an example of the ideals that the Nobel Peace Prize seeks to recognize."

"The pursuit of peace, the prevention of wars and the promotion of international harmony. In a region plagued by historical hostility and political instability, such a breakthrough requires both courage and clarity," Carter added.

It is specified that at the moment 338 candidates have been nominated for the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize.

Earlier, on June 20, Trump was also nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by the Government of Pakistan. The initiative is related to the recognition of the merits of the American leader in resolving the conflict between Islamabad and New Delhi.
