Used electric vehicles have fallen in price in Russia by 16% since the beginning of the year

The average price of used electric vehicles popular with Russians in early summer decreased by 16.1% compared to January and amounted to 5.25 million rubles. This was reported to Izvestia on June 25 by Avito Auto experts, who studied the data array from the platform.

Volkswagen electric cars fell the most — by 27%, to 3.83 million rubles. Prices for electric cars Evolute and Hongqi have also noticeably rolled back — by 14.4% each (up to 2.5 million and 6.6 million rubles, respectively).

Among the most popular models among users, Nio crossovers lost the most in price: the cost of the ES6 model decreased by 30.5% (5.89 million rubles), and the ES8 — by 28.4% (8.2 million rubles). Hongqi E-HS9 (-14.4%; 6.59 million rubles) and Volkswagen ID also became cheaper.Unyx (-13.9%; 3.83 million rubles), Evolve i-Pro (-12.6%; 2.49 million rubles), and Zeekr 7X (-9.4%; 6.3 million rubles).

Artyom Khomutinnikov, head of sales at New Cars at Avito, explained the price reduction by the unwillingness of customers to buy an electric car due to an underdeveloped charging infrastructure and misunderstandings about after-sales service, especially battery repairs. The choice of models in the middle price segment remains limited, and high competition among sellers creates additional pressure on prices, he believes.
