"The Cossacks are an integral part of our history, our culture, our code, if you will, our traditions. And a lot of important historical and military-historical events in the history of Russia and our state in general are connected with the Cossacks. Both the Soviet Union and modern Russia," said Sergey Ivanov, Special Representative of the President of Russia.
It is noted that the exhibition reveals the development of the civil service of the Cossacks from the 15th century to the present day.
The new museum has the most impressive collection on the theme of the Cossacks in Russia with more than 800 objects and modern multimedia content. The Museum of the History of the Cossacks in Russia has become part of the State Historical Museum.
