Omsk Region Governor Vitaly Khotsenko and Rosseti CEO Andrey Ryumin discussed the implementation of major projects in the region's grid complex. One of the topics was the elaboration of the power supply scheme for the new airport, the construction of which will begin in Omsk in 2026. This was reported by the Rosseti press service.

At the meeting, Ryumin noted that in 2025 ROSSETI will allocate 1.6 billion rubles to finance an investment program in the Omsk region. In distribution networks, the main tasks will be the technological connection of new consumers, including preferential categories, and the development of an intelligent electricity metering system.

The head of Rosseti stressed that the group is currently modernizing the backbone infrastructure in the region. The company is implementing the largest project in terms of volume at the 500 kV Irtysh substation, which provides electricity to the south-east of the Omsk region and links to the Kazakh energy system.

"Modern Russian equipment will be introduced here, which will improve the reliability of the power facility itself and the entire backbone network," Ryumin added.

"It is important that work is being carried out not only for the future, such as for the power supply of the future airport, but also the existing energy infrastructure is being systematically strengthened," Khotsenko said.

The head of the region stressed that the modernization of key energy infrastructure is the basis for stable electricity supply for residents and social facilities. Thanks to the partnership with the ROSSETI Group, the Omsk region receives a reliable base for further development.

The parties also reviewed the implementation of the annual repair program, which determines the preparation for the next heating season. In 2025, the amount of financing for the work is more than 1.5 billion rubles. The power engineers will repair six power transformers and 80 high-voltage switches, almost 5,000 km of power transmission lines, and clear about 1.8 thousand hectares of transmission lines from tree and shrub vegetation.
