The optimal way to invest depends on the individual goals and the investor's willingness to take risks. This opinion was shared by Evgeny Shatov, partner of Capital Lab, in an interview with Izvestia on June 24.

"There is no universal solution — it is important to take into account the time, amount and personal preferences," the specialist emphasized.

According to him, bank deposits remain a popular tool due to their reliability and simplicity. However, their profitability may not keep up with inflation, and early withdrawals threaten to lose interest.

"The advantages of deposits include reliability and guarantees, guaranteed profitability at a fixed rate (minimal risk of non—receipt of income), simplicity and accessibility (no special knowledge or large amounts are required to open), predictability (the end date and the amount with interest are known) and a low entry threshold (low minimum deposit amount)," said Shatov..

According to the expert, short-term deposits have a number of advantages: they provide greater flexibility, which allows you to quickly respond to changes in interest rates and withdraw funds without loss. In addition, with early withdrawal, such deposits imply lower losses. With rising deposit rates, short-term options allow you to transfer money more often to more favorable terms, which makes them ideal for situations requiring quick access to funds.

In addition, long-term deposits also have their advantages.: they offer higher interest rates, which ensures greater profits in the long run. Such deposits are suitable for achieving long-term financial goals and help to lock in returns for the long term, especially in conditions of possible rate cuts.

"As an alternative or supplement to deposits, individual investors may also consider OFZ and corporate bonds, exchange—traded funds or investments in precious metals," Shatov concluded.

Financier Mikhail Belyaev noted on June 16 the importance of investing free money in financial instruments. He noted that if there is a large amount, it is worth distributing it to several banks or investing it in investment funds, while having the appropriate knowledge and seriously assessing the risks.
