Russians have become more likely to rent housing for summer outdoor recreation

The key aspect when renting a house in the summer season is the proximity of a forest or body of water. This follows from a study by the Level Group, the results of which were reviewed by Izvestia on June 28.

Young people, particularly zoomers, appreciate the harmony between urban comfort and nature.: 23% of them identify this as their top priority. Almost a quarter of millennials and older survey participants emphasize the importance of forest park areas within walking distance.

For the group aged 29-38, the possibility of a change of environment is important — 19% of respondents consider this to be a clear advantage of renting a home near nature. The desire for privacy is more often shown by people under 45 years of age.

Despite the growing interest in outdoor recreation, 44% of respondents are not ready to rent housing away from major cities, emphasizing the importance of access to natural areas within the city.

According to the study, the frequency of trips to nature also depends on age: young Russians (18-28 years old) and respondents of the older group (39-45 years old) They tend to travel every week (30% in each category), while millennials (29-39 years old) do it less often — about once a month. Most members of generation X (over 45 years old) They spend their holidays in green areas only a few times during the summer season.

The founder of the Brand Agent real estate center, Yana Siverskaya, told Izvestia on May 30 that the cost of renting a home may decrease slightly in the summer months. According to her, this is due to seasonality: before the summer, many students go home to other cities, but return only for the academic year. In addition, there are more offers on the market.
