NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has congratulated US President Donald Trump on his decisive actions in Iran. On June 24, the American leader announced this on the Truth Social network.

"Mr. President, dear Donald, congratulations and thank you for your decisive actions in Iran, which were truly outstanding and which no one else dared to do," the Secretary General of the alliance said in a personal message published by Trump.

Rutte stressed that the measures taken by the US president make countries "safer." According to him, Trump brought the United States to a very important moment for the country.

On June 21, Trump announced a successful attack on three Iranian nuclear facilities — in Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan. On the same day, he threatened Tehran with new missile strikes if the conflict was not resolved. Later, on June 23, Iran launched 11 missiles at US military bases in the Middle East during Operation Good News of Victory.

In the evening of the same day, the US president announced that Israel and Iran had agreed to a complete cease-fire. According to him, an official announcement can be made in 24 hours. After that, Trump expressed the hope that the ceasefire he announced between Tel Aviv and Tehran would become "eternal."
