The majority of companies (35%) limit themselves to style recommendations without strict control, while 30% maintain an official dress code. Every fifth employee can choose clothes freely, and only 12% face unspoken expectations. This was reported to Izvestia on July 25 by SOKOLOV analysts and the <url> job search and personnel service.

It turned out that the trends of the last year indicate a relaxation of the rules: 42% of Russians note a democratic approach to office clothes, and 22% observe an increase in loyalty to self-expression. Only 8% of respondents noticed the return of formality.

"Modern office style requires less and less rigid framework. Jewelry and wardrobe details become tools of self-expression, while maintaining relevance. The main thing is the balance between individuality and accuracy," said SOKOLOV Product Director Elena Rakutina.

Conflicts over appearance rarely arise: 30% of employees value freedom of expression, and 29% do not discuss this topic at all. Only 4% regularly face comments. Behavior is most often discussed in offices (39%), while appearance (18%), tattoos (12%) or hairstyles (7%) attract less attention.

The influence of style on a career remains ambiguous. For 30%, it is important only in public roles, 25% believe that excessive extravagance can get in the way. At the same time, 22% are sure that clothes form the first impression, while 23% rely solely on professionalism.

Analysts noted that modern companies are gradually abandoning strict standards, allowing employees to emphasize individuality within the framework of their business style.

Earlier, on March 6, it was reported that for the majority of Russians surveyed (75%), job satisfaction is a key indicator of a successful career. This is stated in the results of the study of the service "Work.ru". In addition, high earnings (71%) and professionalism (64%) are considered important.
