Rostec unveiled the first laser mine clearance robot at a distance

The first robot for clearing land using a laser was presented on June 24 by specialists of the Shvabe Holding (part of Rostec State Corporation) during the International Engineers of the Future Forum.
The controlled robotic complex is placed on a tracked platform. A compact laser is built inside it, which is capable of neutralizing explosive objects from a distance.
"A powerful laser radiation source makes it possible to neutralize unexploded ordnance, mines and improvised explosive devices, including those equipped with non—contact detonation sensors," Rostec's website says.
In order to neutralize an object, a laser burns through its shell, after which an explosive substance is melted out of it without detonating the supply. The robot is able to mine objects located hundreds of meters away from it.
On June 23, the High-Precision Complexes holding company (part of Rostec State Corporation) handed over to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation the supply of the latest short-range anti-aircraft guided missiles for the Pantsir anti-aircraft missile and cannon complex. As the developers noted, such mini-missiles will increase the ammunition capacity of the Pantsir to 48 rounds. At the same time, the complex can intercept a larger number of aerial targets, for example, drones.
