State Duma deputy, the first female cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova feels well and continues to work. This was reported by TASS on June 24, citing a source in the lower house of parliament.

Earlier, the media reported that Tereshkova became ill during a plenary session of the State Duma.

"Everything is fine with Tereshkova. No medical assistance was required. She has her own event," the source said.

On March 6, Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Tereshkova on her birthday and noted her contribution to the development of Russian cosmonautics. The Russian leader pointed to Tereshkova's active civic position and her significant public and law-making activities.
