Experts assessed the demand for daily rental housing in the cities of the Golden Ring

Yaroslavl has become the most popular of the cities of the Golden Ring in terms of daily rental of housing by Russian tourists traveling around the country. This is evidenced by the results of a study by the analytical center "Domklik", which examined data from the short-term rental service "Domklik24".

An assessment of the demand for daily rental housing in the spring-summer season of 2025 indicates that Yaroslavl accounts for more than half (55%) of all booked apartments among the cities of the Golden Ring of Russia. The median daily rental rate in Yaroslavl was 4 thousand rubles.

Kostroma took the second place in the rating — its share was 16.7%, the median rental rate was 3.5 thousand rubles. Vladimir is in third place (14.6%, 3.2 thousand rubles). Sergiev Posad and Suzdal accounted for the fewest bookings in nine cities of the Golden Ring (their shares were 0.4% and 0.5%, respectively).

According to experts, the median booking period coincides with the length of the weekend for most Russians and is two days. With the onset of the summer season, there is also an increase in demand and rental prices. Compared to the first four months of 2025, at the beginning of this summer's season (from May 1 to June 18), the number of bookings increased by 35.4%. At the same time, the median cost of one day's stay increased by 38.4% (from 2.6 thousand rubles to 3.6 thousand rubles).

The study took into account data on residential properties that were booked through the Domklik24 service from May 1 to June 18, 2025. In addition, data on bookings made in the first four months of the current year was taken into account.
