The US and Israeli strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities have undermined the prospect of negotiations and rendered oversight mechanisms meaningless. This was announced on June 24 by the Iranian Ambassador to Russia, Kazem Jalali.

According to him, it has now become clear to everyone that Tehran has not left the negotiating table and has remained committed to a diplomatic course.

"Despite this, the attack on Iran's peaceful nuclear facilities by the hegemonic Western regime led by the United States excludes rationality, undermines the logic of negotiations and makes oversight and legal mechanisms meaningless," Jalali said in an interview with TASS.

Earlier in the day, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, speaking at the XI Primakov Readings International Forum, said that the attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities violated the Charter of the United Nations (UN) and resolutions of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
