Iran should adhere to the principles of diplomacy when building relations with Qatar and avoid violations of the country's sovereignty after the attack on the US military base Al-Udeid. This was announced on June 24 by the head of the Government, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed Al Thani.

"We consider this to be a violation of Qatar's neighborhood policy, which it has adhered to from the very beginning," Al-Jazeera quoted him as saying.

He stressed that Qatar will continue to maintain friendly relations with other Middle Eastern states and called on Iran to adhere to the same principles.

"We would like Iran to share our vision of a good-neighborly region," the sheikh added.

Earlier in the day, the Qatari Prime minister said that Iran's attack on the US military base was unacceptable, it was an attack on Qatar's sovereignty.

On June 23, Iran launched 11 missiles at US military bases in Qatar and Iraq during Operation Good News of Victory. Later, US President Donald Trump announced that no one was injured as a result of Iran's missile attack.
