Guitarist and founder of the British rock band Bad Company Mick Ralphs has died at the age of 81. This was announced on June 23 on the website of the musical group.

"Mick passed away, my heart just dropped to the ground. He left us wonderful songs and memories. He was my friend, my songwriting partner, and an amazing and versatile guitarist with an amazing sense of humor," said singer Paul Rogers.

It is clarified that the last time Ralphs performed with Bad Company was in 2016 in London, and a few days later he suffered a severe stroke, as a result of which he remained bedridden.

Ralphs and Rogers formed the band Bad Company in 1973, which also included bassist Boz Burrell and drummer Simon Kirk. Their 1974 self-titled debut album went five times platinum, featuring hits such as Can't Get Enough, Movin’ On, Ready for Love, and Rock Steady.
