The prospects for the declared truce between Iran and Israel remain questionable due to the overall complexity of the conflict and the ambiguity regarding the terms of the agreement between the countries. This was reported by the Reuters news agency on June 24.

"A long list of unanswered questions remains, not least the question of whether any cease-fire can actually take effect and be respected between two irreconcilable enemies, whose long—standing "shadow" conflict escalated into 12 days of strikes on each other's territory," the article says.

The authors of the article noted that US President Donald Trump's statement on the truce on the Truth Social network did not mention the conditions to which both sides had agreed. According to the publication, it is also unknown whether Washington and Tehran will resume negotiations on the republic's nuclear program. In addition, the fate of Iran's stockpile of enriched uranium remains unclear, which, according to experts, could survive attacks by the United States and Israel.

According to Jonathan Panikoff, former deputy national intelligence officer for the Middle East, Israel achieved "most of its goals, while Iran was looking for a possible withdrawal."

"The United States hopes that this is the beginning of the end. The problem is whether there is a strategy for the future," he added.

On June 24, Trump announced the entry into force of an agreement related to a complete cease-fire between Israel and Iran. He also called on the countries not to violate the truce.
