Turkey is preparing new diplomatic initiatives within the framework of the conflict settlement process in Ukraine. This was stated on June 24 by Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan before departing for the upcoming NATO summit, which will be held on June 24-25 in The Hague.

"Everyone knows the efforts that Turkey is making to resolve the <conflict> in Ukraine. <...> At the NATO summit, we will explain this vision to our interlocutors and declare that we will not stop until we achieve peace," Erdogan was quoted as saying by Hurriyet.

According to the Turkish leader, Ankara will continue to actively promote diplomatic approaches to resolving the crisis and will share the results of its work with partners in the North Atlantic Alliance on the sidelines of the summit.

On June 22, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Russia and Ukraine have agreements in the humanitarian sphere and are moving in the right direction. According to her, it is important for Russia to ensure that Kiev breaks with NATO and that the rights and freedoms of people in Ukraine are respected.
