On June 24, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi invited Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi to meet and discuss the situation in the Islamic Republic, saying that he fully supports the statements regarding the truce between Tehran and Tel Aviv.

In a post on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter) Grossi noted that the resumption of cooperation with the IAEA is the key to a successful agreement.

"I welcome the statements on the situation with Iran. <...> I wrote to [Araqchi], stressing that this step could lead to a diplomatic solution to the long—standing dispute over the nuclear program, and offered to meet in the near future," the IAEA Director General said.

Earlier in the day, US President Donald Trump announced the entry into force of an agreement related to a complete cease-fire between Israel and Iran. He also called on the countries not to violate the truce. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia hopes for a sustainable cease-fire between Iran and Israel and has been calling for it since the beginning of the conflict.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf said on June 23 that the country plans to suspend cooperation with the IAEA due to unprofessional behavior on the part of the nuclear agency.
