The Prosecutor's Office of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) has submitted to the court a case against a Kamaz driver involved in an accident with cyclists in Donetsk in August 2024. This is reported on the agency's website.
The accused in a Kamaz car collided with a passing car that was escorting a group of underage cyclists. As a result of the accident, two teenagers were seriously injured, and one girl died in hospital from her injuries.
"The Prosecutor's Office of the Donetsk People's Republic has approved a criminal indictment against a 32-year-old resident of the region. He is charged under Part 3 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic rules by a person driving a car, which negligently caused serious harm to human health, resulting in death")," the statement says.
On June 24, it was reported that four people were killed in an accident in Udmurtia. Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate are investigating all the circumstances of the incident, 15 people and seven units of special equipment were involved in eliminating its consequences.
