A criminal case has been opened into the derailment of seven freight wagons at the Neftyanaya railway station in the Saratov region. This was reported on June 24 in the press service of the Western Interregional Investigative Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee (MCUT IC). Of Russia.

"A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules of traffic safety and operation of railway transport")," the department's Telegram channel says.

It is noted that as a result of the incident, wagons and 50 m of railway tracks were damaged, and grain cargo was allowed to spill. According to the investigative authorities, the damage from the collapse amounted to more than 8 million rubles.

On May 21, seven freight wagons derailed at the Neftyanaya station of the Volga Railway in the Saratov Region. According to Russian Railways, no one was injured as a result, and the incident did not affect the movement of passenger trains.
