Alexander Sekulich, a former coach of the Lokomotiv Kuban basketball club, became the head of Zenit. This was announced on June 24 in the press service of the St. Petersburg team in the Telegram channel.

"Alexander will become the fourth head coach in the club's history and will lead the blue-white-Blues in their twelfth season," the statement said.

It is noted that the contract with the coach is designed for the 2025/26 season, and also suggests the possibility of an extension under the "1 +1" scheme.

On June 17, Zenit announced the departure of Spanish specialist Javier Pascual from the post of head coach of the team upon the expiration of his contract.
