The joint venture proposed to increase the fee for the use of water resources

The Accounting Chamber of Russia has proposed a 10-fold increase in fees for the use of water resources. This was announced on June 24 on the official website of the department.

"Calculations carried out by the Accounts Chamber have shown that an increase in rates, for example, by 10 times, will not significantly affect the economy of enterprises and the share of fees for water intake will remain at less than 0.1%. At the same time, additional budget revenues will amount to about 32 billion rubles," the publication says.

According to the joint venture, in 2023 in Russia, about 33% of the total volume of water used the resource without meters. To solve this problem, the agency proposed to increase the coefficient for people who do not have water measuring devices from 1.1 to 10. The joint venture believes that due to the implementation of this idea, the unaccounted-for water intake will decrease, and the budget will be additionally replenished.
