Police seized more than 3.8 thousand bottles of illegal alcohol in Krasnoyarsk


In Krasnoyarsk, police seized almost 3.9 thousand bottles of illegal alcohol from illegal traffic. This was announced on Tuesday, June 24, by the press service of the regional Interior Ministry.
"Economic security operatives have established that a resident of the regional center purchased alcoholic beverages of various names, and then illegally stored them in his container on the territory of the base, for the purpose of resale," the agency said in a Telegram channel.
A criminal case was opened against a resident of Krasnoyarsk under the article "Illegal production and (or) trafficking of ethyl alcohol, alcoholic and alcohol-containing products" (Article 171.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
On this charge, the man could face a sentence of up to three years in prison.
On May 28, it was reported that in the city of Marx, Saratov region, a 49-year-old man would stand trial for fraud with counterfeit alcohol and tobacco products. The attacker's activity was stopped in April last year. During searches at his home and garage, police found more than 23,000 packs of cigarettes and over 6,000 bottles of alcohol worth about 8 million rubles. 20 accomplices were identified who were engaged in the delivery, loading, accounting and sale of counterfeit goods.
