The doctor told about the contraindications to the consumption of green peas

Despite the many beneficial components found in green peas, they can worsen some human diseases. About who is contraindicated to eat peas, June 23, "Gazeta.Ru" was told by nutritionist Ekaterina Guzman.
"The vegetable contains a lot of fiber and carbohydrates, which can cause increased gas formation and bloating in people with sensitive intestines. <...> Peas can irritate the mucous membrane of the stomach and intestines, so you should not overeat peas for gastritis, peptic ulcer and other gastrointestinal diseases," the doctor said.
Also, according to Guzman, because of the vitamin K content, which promotes blood clotting, some people should eat peas with caution, controlling this indicator.
There are contraindications to the consumption of peas for those who have kidney disease.
"Purines, which form uric acid when broken down, are unsafe for gout and other kidney diseases," the expert noted.
Earlier, on June 10, nutritionist Margarita Koroleva gave advice on choosing and eating summer berries. According to the expert, all berries that have grown naturally without chemicals are useful to a healthy person.
