Vance stated Iran's inability to create nuclear weapons after the US strikes

The United States has effectively destroyed Iran's nuclear program and hopes that Tehran will not restore it, which will give a chance to resolve the Middle East conflict. This was announced on Monday, June 23, by Vice President of the United States Jay Dee Vance.
"We have destroyed the Iranian nuclear program, we hope and expect that they do not intend to try to restore it. I think that the president [of the United States Donald Trump] wants to achieve a long—term settlement in this situation," he said in an interview with Fox News channel.
Vance added that after the American strikes, Iran lost the technical ability to create nuclear weapons. According to him, the United States was able to "wall up the uranium" available to Iran with its strikes.
"We have destroyed their ability to enrich uranium, if they have uranium enriched to 60%, but they do not have the ability to enrich it to 90%, then they do not have the ability to turn it into a nuclear weapon. This is the success of the mission, the destruction of their nuclear program," he said.
Earlier in the day, Trump announced that Israel and Iran had agreed to a full cease-fire. According to Trump, an official cease-fire can be announced in 24 hours. He also suggested calling this conflict a "12-day war" after the end.
