The American TA is interested in connecting Russian banks to SWIFT

The American Chamber of Commerce in Russia (AmCham) is interested in resuming payments from Russia via SWIFT, the head of the chamber, Robert Agee, told Izvestia.

"Unfortunately, SWIFT is not only an American platform. This is a European platform, and therefore it is not under our control, but we would certainly support a dialogue on this issue. This is a multi-country initiative, and we cannot do anything unilaterally. The Europeans should be with us on this issue," he said.

So far, there is no dialogue between the United States and the EU, as the situation in Europe differs from the situation in America, the head of the chamber notes.
