Analysts have calculated the cost of a graduation outfit this year
A prom outfit costs an average of 12 thousand rubles for a girl this year, and 11 thousand rubles for a boy, experts from the "Check Index" of the OFD Platform calculated for Izvestia.
The services of beauty salons and ateliers will add about 5 thousand more rubles to the cost of the girl's image, the Check Index reported. The average check for a graduate's outfit increased by an average of 7% year on year.
"Many graduates this year prefer a more practical approach to their holiday wardrobe, often choosing sneakers over shoes. This partly explains the more restrained demand for festive clothes and shoes," the experts noted.
Parents of graduates, on average, believe that a child's graduation will cost them 31 thousand rubles, according to the Avito Goods survey. Of these, 19 thousand rubles will be spent on the celebration, and 12 thousand rubles will be spent on an evening dress or suit. A third of high school students will celebrate their graduation at school this year, another 29% will continue their celebration in a restaurant or banquet hall after the official part, and 17% will celebrate outdoors.
Graduation ceremonies in most Russian schools will be held on June 28-29.
