Tehran does not intend to escalate the armed conflict in the Middle East, the strike on the American base of Al-Udeid in the suburbs of Doha is just a response to Washington's aggression. This was announced on Monday, June 23, by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi during talks with his Turkmen counterpart Rashid Meredov.

"Iran does not want to escalate tensions in the region. <...> In case of any further actions by the United States, the Islamic Republic of Iran will be ready to respond once again," the Iranian Foreign Ministry quoted him as saying on its Telegram channel.

Araqchi also called the American attack on Iranian territory a sign of Israel's "weakness and desperation" towards Iran.

On June 23, it was reported that Iran launched 11 missiles at US military bases in Qatar and Iraq during Operation Good News of Victory.

Later, US President Donald Trump said that no one was injured as a result of Iran's strike on the Al-Udeid airbase in Qatar. According to him, 13 of the 14 missiles were intercepted.
