Due to the closure of airspace by several countries in the Middle East, Aeroflot operates flights to Dubai and Abu Dhabi on safe routes. This was announced on June 23 by the press service of the airline in the Telegram channel.
"Due to the closure of the airspace of a number of countries in the Middle East, Aeroflot announces that it does not operate flights to/from the UAE over the territory of these countries. Flights to Dubai and Abu Dhabi are operated on safe routes," the statement said.
If necessary, the company is ready to make adjustments to the flight schedule.
It is reported that flight SU527 Dubai — Moscow for June 23 took off from the airport at 20:28 Moscow time.
Earlier that day, the Federal Air Transport Agency ordered airlines not to operate flights over Iraq and Qatar. It is reported that this measure was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the Middle East and to ensure flight safety. The order will be valid until 2:59 a.m. Moscow time on June 26.
