Sergeant Konstantin Turovsky commanded a platoon and participated in the storming of a stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) when enemy mortar and artillery fire blocked the way for Russian soldiers. The Russian Ministry of Defense on Tuesday, June 24, told about the exploits of Russian servicemen in the area of the special military operation (SVO).

Turovsky decided to take advantage of the coming darkness and stealthily led the group to the enemy's rear. The attack turned out to be unexpected for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and Russian attack aircraft managed to take control of the stronghold in a short time. After that, the sergeant gave the order to regroup and organized a defense against a possible enemy counterattack. All attempts by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to regain control of Opornik have failed.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the professional and decisive actions of Ensign Maxim Vasiliev, who carried out the task of transporting ammunition to the combat area. On his way to the front line, he noticed an approaching unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the enemy.

Vasiliev reacted quickly to the threat, left the car and opened fire on the drone with small arms. The Ukrainian reconnaissance drone was eliminated. The ensign continued on his way, but soon came under artillery fire from the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Vasiliev accelerated and brought the car with the valuable cargo to a safe place. As a result, ammunition and food were delivered to their destination on time.

Earlier, on June 23, the Russian Defense Ministry reported how Guard Corporal Pavel Suponin restored the communication scheme with maneuverable electronic warfare (EW) groups, damaged as a result of mortar fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
