The boy, who was born with an extremely low body weight of only 415 g, was discharged from the GKB No. 67 perinatal center five months after birth. This was announced by Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development, on Monday, June 23.

According to her, the baby's story is a vivid confirmation of success in neonatology, notes Life.ru . Today, doctors in the capital successfully care for 99% of newborns with low body weight, the Moscow City News Agency writes.

The expectant mother was admitted to the center with complications, and the doctors decided on an urgent caesarean section, writes IA Regnum. The child was immediately admitted to the intensive care unit, was connected to a ventilator and was under round-the-clock supervision. At the time of discharge, the boy weighed 3.2 kg, according to RT. According to doctors, there is no threat to his life. This is the smallest baby successfully delivered in the history of the center.
