Russia and Mali have signed three cooperation agreements in different areas.


Russia and Mali have signed three agreements on further cooperation in several areas. This was reported on the Kremlin's website on June 23.
For example, Maxim Reshetnikov, Head of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, and Alousseni Sanou, Minister of Economy and Finance of Mali, signed an agreement on the establishment of an intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation.
In addition, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Malian counterpart Abdoulaye Dion signed an agreement on the foundations of relations between the two countries. Alexey Likhachev, CEO of Rosatom State Corporation, and Boubacar Diane, Minister of Energy and Water Resources of Mali, also signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of peaceful uses of atomic energy.
Following the signing of the documents, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed gratitude to the head of the transitional period of Mali Assimi Goita and his team for the visit.
Also, during the talks with Goita, the Russian president noted the modest trade turnover between the states. At the same time, Putin pointed to a good upward trend in trade and clarified that there are areas for promising cooperation between Russia and Mali. In particular, he stressed the good and trusting relations built between the Russian Federation and Mali.
