Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences to the family and friends of Valentina Talyzina in connection with her death. The corresponding statement was published on the Kremlin's official website on June 23.

"Valentina Talyzina was a talented actress, a sincere, passionate person. Her remarkable work in cinematography and on the stage of the famous Mossovet State Academic Theater, to which she devoted many years of her life, is a worthy example of inspired creativity, selfless service to national culture and people," the statement said.
