145 people were injected with syringes at a music festival in France

At the Fete de la musique street music festival in France, attackers injected 145 people with syringes. This was reported on June 23 by The Guardian newspaper with reference to the French Interior Ministry.
"145 people reported being stabbed with syringes during the country's annual street music festival this weekend," the publication said.
It is reported that the French police detained 12 suspects in connection with the incident. It is not known what exactly was in the syringes.
"Some of the victims were taken to the hospital for toxicology tests," the publication added.
The article pointed out that on social networks on the eve of the celebrations there were reports of possible attacks on women using syringes.

In August 2023, in Moscow, a 10-year-old girl pricked herself on a syringe with traces of a narcotic substance in a rented car. It later turned out that the syringe contained mephedrone. A criminal case was opened into the incident under Part 1 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Illegal production, sale or transfer of narcotic drugs").
