Ryabkov said Russia was alarmed by the US strike on Iran.

Russia is alarmed by the US strike on Iranian territory. This was announced on June 23 by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov to journalists on the sidelines of the XI International Scientific and Expert Forum Primakov Readings.
"It is very disturbing that attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities were carried out by a country that is a permanent member of the [UN] Security Council and a depositary of the Treaty on the Non—Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons," TASS quoted him as saying.
When asked about Iran's request for military assistance, Ryabkov noted that Moscow and Tehran are working in different directions. He refused to disclose the details of the cooperation, calling it irresponsible.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi on June 23, called the strikes on the territory of the republic an unprovoked aggression that has no justification. He also noted that against the background of the escalation of the Middle East conflict, Moscow is making efforts to assist the Iranian people.
